BASIX Targets Increased 01 July 2017
Energy saving targets were recently increased typically by 10%. The caps for thermal comfort heating and cooling were also lowered, making compliance standards more stringent.
Additional arrangements will now apply for new home buyers who are already in the process of building a new home and have signed a building contract up to the value of $1.5 million before 31 December 2017.
These home buyers will be able to lodge an application to use the pre-July 2017 BASIX targets.
